Hi,

I found out about ziptie for some time ago, a nice fella mentioned ziptie when I asked about rancid on irc.

We are now using nedi and cacti for our network management. But are really looking in to implementing ziptie here.

So I am thinking how to combine / replace nedi/cacti with ziptie.

Before we used netdisco as layer2 map.
Cacti as stats.
Nedi as info about switches, no config changes.

What would really be utopia is to have all this in the same app. Or make a nice integration between the different functions.

How do you solve these functions, any thoughts?

Although NeDi and ZipTie

Although NeDi and ZipTie have a few common features ZipTie, NeDi, and Cacti are really all unique tools designed to do different things. I also use all 3 of them and couldn't imagine life without each of them. There is slight overlap between NeDi and ZipTie/NetworkAuthority but I don't use the config backup features of NeDi because that's what ZipTie/NetworkAuthority are good at. Just a user's 2 cents.
