Is there any event-subscription APIs or any other mechanism to know when the Ziptie server starts, stops?

Start/stop events

There are no start/stop events generated by the server itself. But on Windows, for example, I believe there are events generated when a service starts or stops. We leave it up to the operating system to generate such events. You can not monitor the ZipTie server itself with SNMP, for example. ZipTie can be configured to log to a syslog server, and there are many monitoring solutions that are able to generate events based on that.
